L'Héroïne travestie, ou Mé...

A fictional novel with no obvious relationship to Geneviève Premoy other than the heroine's use of the name "Chevalier Balthazard". It was published after Prémoy was outed and so the use of the name is probably not a coincidental. It is often listed as published in 1695, but the copy in Google Books is dated 1696.

I am positing that this book offended Prémoy, and inspired her to write her own autobiography, and effort that subsequently led to  a blow-up when her publisher tried to liven it up.
