This is the 1692 reissue of Liancour's 1886 manual of arms, written we are told, near the beginning of his career as a sword master rather than te end as was the norm. The web site listed has both a PDF of the original French and a 2007 English translation by Elise Darchis.

Liancour was one of the most influential swordmasters of his time and allegedly one of la Maupin's instructors. Either way, his theory and style would have influenced her greatly.
